Taurus CT G2 - Pistol Caliber Carbine?

So I was searching for a Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC), and came across the CT G2. It looks promising.... It's probably the best LOOKING PCC I've seen on the market. I want a PCC without breaking the bank, and a .45ACP KRISS is just too much.... and the other options look too much like a pistol with a stock than an actual Carbine.

Anyone seen one of these in person? Any idea of street retail? Any Idea of Availability?

The ONLY way these are going to make it is if they have a decent round capacity. What I was reading so far is something like 15 for the 40 and 10 for the 45, which is not going to make it. If they want these to sell they need to do 2 things:

1. Give them all large magazines (approx 30 rounds, all calibers).

2. Make the carbine mags work with the 800 and 24/7 G2, and allow the carbine to accept the standard size mags from those models.

They will literally make millions from these guns if they do that.

I don't know, don't take me THAT many rounds to hit anything with. I really never did understand the high cap thing except for suppressive fire which is REAL useful for a civilian.

Where can you get a look at these carbines, always wanted one in 45 acp

I was looking at a Hi-Point .45 ACP carbine but would rather have one built by Taurus.

I don't think they've hit the streets yet. When Taurus releases something in their 2011 catalog, it really means "coming 2012." The new PT-22's just hit stores near me about 4 months ago (that was in the 2010 catalog). I think a call to Taurus is the only way to get some solid info. It's by far the only PCC I'd consider, as long as it stays under $400: I'm not paying AR or AK money for a long barreled pistol.

Exactly. It needs to be Sub $500 and use G2 mags.

The carbine itself is probably a nice design and will look better than some others to most people. Capacity is good in 9 (34 rounds) and okay in the .40 (15 rounds) ... but on .45 they only have a 10 round mag. Unless that can be increased there's no reason to pay $700 (is that really the price?) when the Hi Point 4595 - a very dependable carbine - is available for under $300.

at 700, i could buy a new AR lower and .40S&W AR upper.

you could pick up a kel-tech although ugly it uses glock mags which are a lot easier to find for cheap..me id go with the hi-point myself..
