Academy Carrying the Rossi Circuit Judge Revolving Rifle

I noticed in yesterdays Academy ad they were advertising the new Rossi Circuit Judge revolving rifle for $479. I have not been to ours to check them out. If anyone has a chance to fondle one, let us know your impression.

At the last gun show I went to, I looked over a Circut Judge. It was selling for around $ 450.00. I liked
the wood finish and it looked like a practical design. I think it would make a nice little rifle to keep in
your truck if you lived in a rural area. I also liked the blued finish. It was a attractive little rifle and it
really impressed the friend who went with me. He told me it might be his next gun. He was thinking
about buying it until he found a crossbow he fell in love with. It reminded me of the Colt revolving
rifles that were made in the nineteenth century.

I would nearly think the smoothbore barrel would be more practical if you planned on shooting birdshot any, and then use rifled slugs in lieu of the 45 colt, or a rifled barrel and the .45 colt only and/or buckshot.

If I got a Circuit Judge, I'd want the rifled barrel and most of my shooting would be
with the .45 LC rounds. I'd love to see how accurate the .45 LC would be coming
out of the Circuit Judge. My Judge handles .45 LC good enough, but I bet the Circuit
Judge would really show what the .45 LC is capable of doing. One question: Is the
Circuit Judge capable of handling hotter .45LC loads (more than 1000 FPS)? I forgot
to inquire about that at the gun show.
