Congratulations on the new Circuit Judge, welcome to the forum, and be sure to post pics!![]()
Well I'll start off by saying hello, I found this site while searching for info about the
Circuit Judge. I ordered mine 3 months ago when they posted an ad in The Rifleman
and this morning I got a call that it has arrived so I'm picking it up tonight. I feel
that this along with my 3" Judge will give me everything I need from protection to
hunting squriel - deer. And I'll only have to stock 2 sizes of ammo. But don't tell the
wife cause then she'll want me to get rid of all the others.
Congratulations on the new Circuit Judge, welcome to the forum, and be sure to post pics!![]()
I know I enjoy my JUDGE, I am sure your Circuit JUDGE will serve you well. Let us know after you shoot it.
Congratulations on your new Circut Judge. I saw one at the last gun show I went to and I
was intrigued by it. I liked the wood finish and the way it was designed. I'm sure you have
found yourself a nice fun and truck gun. Let us know how it performs.

Taurus Firearms ~ Personal & Home Security, Protection, and Peace of Mind
Here are some initial observations of the Circuit Judge. First off my gun dealer
told me that you had to change the choke every time you switched from 410 to Colt 45 or you'd damage the gun. Per Rossi Customer service that is not true. They said you could shoot either ammo with either choke in and not damage the gun or chokes. However the 410 choke will give tighter shot patterns and the thread protector choke will give better accuracy with the Colt 45. They did say that it was important to note that the chokes are left-hand thread (Opposite of normal)!
Second, when I first looked at the metal finish it appeared to be blotchy.
So I wiped it down with a lightly oiled rag and discovered that it had a light brown substance (possibly cosmoline) on all the internal & external surfaces.
After that it looked great!
Third the manual says you need to fill out & return the enclosed warranty card within 10 days. No card was enclosed, the CS Rep said they don't use
them anymore.
Last, I had noticed that all of the pictures showed a sling swivel on the forearm but not on the stock. So I had called Rossi to see if they offered some special type of sling that only needed the forearm swivel. They told me that they had removed the swivel from the forearm.
Mine came with swivels on both the forearm and stock. Maybe it is inconsistencies like this that gives them a bad reputation.
I'm just guessing here, but Rossi is now under Taurus's lifetime warranty, so no need for a registration card.
Choke tubes? A thread Protector (No choke?) and other is? Is the barrel rifled or smooth?
Are there provisions for optics?
Pictures! You need to post some stinkin' pictures.
