    Puma scope mounts?

Are they available? I have 2 guys who want the 92 rifles but they want a scope as well. Rhanks

    Re: Puma scope mounts?

I've never seen one. I'd have to be a forward mounted "scout" type scope, LER, though. As with the original 94 Winchester, cartridge ejection won't allow anything over the top and side mounted scopes kinda suck. Or, maybe I don't like side scopes because i shoot lefty, but it's just not the natural place for a scope.

Have you tried B Square? If they don't have it, it probably isn't made. The 92 is a common action and B Square might have something.

Ah, went to b square and yes, they have a side mount. Me, I think it's an abomination, but some can't see irons I guess. I have a ghost ring aperture on mine, just FITS the motife.

    Re: Puma scope mounts?

That scope mount option causes me to do some thinking (a scarey thought). While it really would be fast/handy to have a scout mount, I wonder how it would hold up to true big bore stuff (.454). I think that I will need to wait to hear some feedback from others that have gone this route. For now, I think that returning back to my roots of shooting a peep sight remains the biggest draw for me to this gun. While I am not going to win any gold medals, I finally have this gun dialed in and won't hesitate to shoot at any deer that I can see. For the woods I hunt, this means 100 yards max.
If anyone has gone with this mount, please share your results!

I don't know, I just think scopes on a handy little lever gun are blasphemous.
