    Model 66, 669, 689 whats the difference??

    Help!
I am talking the older versions here. 6 rounds. Not the newest model 7 round 66.
Which set up is stronger/better? Are the trigger setups simular/ smooth?
I read that Taurus is still making the 689 in Brazil, which makes getting parts a bit easier.
I have a chance at getting one or more of the revolvers and don't know wich one to go for. They are all 4 inch barrels.
Will these fit K or L frame holsters?
    Thanks

going from memory.......they are all roughly equivalent to L frame Smiths. The 689 had a ventilated top rib and the 669 didn't. I believe both had adjustable sights, and the bottom underlug went the entire length of the barrel. The model 66 I believe had adjustable sights, and the underlug only goes a couple of inches from the cylinder.

The only thing I'll add is that the M689 (as well as the M66 and M65) use K-frame speed loaders not L-frame ones so I'm not sure what holster to suggest.

Yes, the M66 (had one many years back) and the M689 both have adjustable sights. I've never owned a M669 so I can't help you there.
