    441 & 445 holsters

I am going pick up 2 .44 specials that are at my dealers on monday. The 4" 441 I got for $200 NIB, ok so I feel I got a good eal on that on I am also picking up a 445 titanium. And I was wondering if any one knows of where I might get some holsters to fit these guns.

Well, aren't we Mr. lucky...a four inch 441 in .44 special. Yes, I'm jealous as heck.

BTW, it will be tough finding a holster for it, I managed to find a 4 inch Safari Land holster that is made for a Colt, its a number 25 stamped on it.

But the holster strap was not quite long enough to reach the secure snap...had to use alcohol rubbed into it to stretch it, along with some clear leather oil.

Now it does the job of holding my model 441 with 3 inch barrel, and also double duty as a .45 Colt Tracker with 4 inch barrel.

Found this holster at a pawn shop for $15.00 out the door.

Looks like a good holster. And you definitely can't beat the price. How do you like it with the trigger exposed? I know it makes some people uneasy. Don't think I would have a problem with it. Seems like it would be a little quicker.

Yea figured that it would be tough to find a holster. Most interested in finding one for the 445 right now. Heard that the K frame holsters from S&W might work.

Buck, that holster is really solidly built...it don't matter that the trigger guard is exposed. It is probably designed to be used for CCW.

However, if it were carried in the woods it would be better to have a jacket cover it so it don't snag any brush.

I'm thinking about using it for open carry when I go to the remote woods shooting range. I'm an old guy with heart disease and a few other problems, couldn't take on the a bad guy if one decided to take my goods.

Had a really weird dude come up on me while I was shooting the model 441. He was snorting mucus when he tried to talk to me...but it was difficult to understand anything he said. He was standing pretty close while I was setting at my bench table, and wouldn't take a hint that I needed to be alone so I could shoot my revolver in peace. So loaded up the .44 and layed it back down on the bench with my hand on it. Then told him I'm going to quit shooting now, he finally took off and so did I.

That's the main reason I got this type of holster.
