I've only scoped 2 handguns, one with a match dot ultra dot, and one with a 2x Leupold hand gun scope, used it for deer. The match dot is on a weaver mount, .44 has it's own mount.

hello
what's the size of the dot 1 or 2 moa (what's the trade mark please)
you said that the 44 is fitted with weaver mount which one please
I have been shooting scoped handguns from the late 70's, early 80's. Started using them on single shot handguns, Contenders, XP100's, etc. Scoping handguns is much easier now, handgun scopes beat putting rifle scopes on handguns. For heavy recoil guns I like Leupold, Burris, TC, and the better quality scopes. For years they were the only ones that could handle the recoil. Things have changed and some of the cheap scopes can handle recoil without coming apart. For the Raging Bull guns I like the Taurus mounts that fit the ba.rrel rib. They do not shoot loose, take Weaver style rings. When you have to remove the scope zero will be close when you put it back. With some mounts it can be off as much as feet instead of inches at 100 yards. I like Weaver quad lock rings for heavy recoil guns and 1" scope tubes. I use dot type sights some on handguns but not for anything past 50 yards. They work, I just like scopes better with a crosshair that covers very little of the target as distance increase. Some friends hunt deer at ranges of over 100 yards with dot type sights. I own from 1.5 fixed power to 3 X 12 handgun scopes. 2X and 4x fixed power are my favorite for heavy recoil guns. That comes from being old and set in my ways. The variable power scopes are good, vonzipper put one on his Raging bull and has photos on his thread about the gun on this site. I own several variable handgun scopes in Leupold, Burris, Weaver, Bushnell, etc., and they are good scopes. Work well for long range handgun shooting. The friends that use them on heavy recoil guns love them. Find a scope or dot you like and go for it.
thanks for so detail answer
