Sounds like you have a winner there. These make great carry guns.
Mine is a over 30 year old 85CH and still going strong.
I like the weight. It soaks up some recoil and the gun just sits there in the hand steady.
Hi. Just got this today, a classic Taurus 85B2. I've owned several Taurus semiautos with no complaints. This is my first Taurus revolver. I've had Dan Wesson, Smith, and Charter Arms revolvers.
I must say i am pleased with the feel and styling of this gun. The wood and bluing are in good shape. I bought it for cc. The weight doesn't bother me. i am going to get a set of small grips for it so i can drop it in a pocket if neccessary.
Some fuzzy pics:
The Taurus website said it was manufactured in 1992. I bought it for $230 OTD. How good a deal was that.
Going to shoot it some tomorrow. Can't wait. Now I just need a good IWB holster for it, and some speed loads.

NULLI SECUNDUS
Good price on a great little revolver. I bought my 1989 model 85B2 five years ago. I thought I got a pretty good deal at $200.00 then. I bobbed the hammer, removed the large grips and replaced them with a smaller wood set. Now my wife carries it everyday!
This is before I got the small wood grips:
Congrats on your purchase!

Keeping it simple and sweet is the way to go at times. I love my M85 revolvers, they snug up great in my belt holsters or drop in a pocket on short notice. Nice pick up there.
If you have a difficult job to do....Give it to a lazy man......He will find the easy way to do it.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
Simple and sweet it is. Just got back from LGS/range. Enjoyed practicing with it. Shoots straight at 25 feet with either FMJ target or 125gr JHP +P. Very pleased.
Picked up a cheap blackhawk inside the pants holster for it. Going to run errands now, see how it rides around in it. Also picked up a Hogue monogrip, got it home and figured out I picked up the wrong one.. I hope the LGS has the correct one in stock. I may have to order it. Or I may just just return it and stick to the classic wooden grips.
Just bought one yesterday also. First taurus. M85 with crimson trace grips. Cleadned and lubed today wont get to shoot till next weekend. What should i know about these guns
So I went and got the correct Hogue Monogrip this time. Here's a picture of it wearing it.
