The pros and cons are pretty easy.
Pro: you can cross carry a pistol and revolver and only need one caliber of ammunition.
Con: you can get a .357 for the same size and weight.
Let's here some reviews from the 905 owners out there. I have a strong desire to get 9mm and .45 ACP revolvers, not interested in .40 S&W. Tell me some pros and cons with the 905.

I'm also interested in hearing any reviews of the 905, I had a 605 357 loved the gun but it killed my arthritic hands every time I took it to the range, sold it and bought a Glock 19 for carry. Just found out about the Taurus 905 and would like to find out more information about it.

I have had my 905 for almost 3 years. It actually is my BUG, for either my PT111 or 24/7 9mm DS. It fires smoothly, and I was on paper (8 by 11) the first time I fired it.
I aquired a # of stellar clips for it, but actually I have never bent or broken one of the originals that came with my gun. The grip that came on it was small for me, and I did change to a Hogue mono grip, for more to hold on too. If they made one all the time with a 4 or 6" Barrel I would buy a 2nd one in a heart beat.
I carry in a pocket holster, in my back pocket, usually weak side, but occasionally I wear primary weak side, and 905 strong side. I do have OWB holsters for it, when I want to carry it around on the farm.
I do not shoot it a lot, but it has been accurate and reliable!!
Thanks for the information, I will have to check out the 905 at the next gun show to hit my area.

I like mine, it shoots well. The moon clip doesn't seem to appeal to a number of people, but then owning a Taurus doesn't appeal to a number of gun owners. One of the things I also like is being able to use the same holsters that I use for my little Taurus 38spl pistols.
I am interested in a revolver in either/or 9mm and .45 ACP. Charter Arms has come out with the PitBull in .40 S&W and it doesn't use moon clips. So far, people seem to like it. I have absolutely no desire for anything in .40 S&W so I'll wait until the 9mm/.45's come out and see how they do.

Just got off the boat yesterday, literally... So, I know this is somewhat late, but I love my 905 blued and my 905c IB matte... I have only 9mm guns by design, so it I can shoot all my stuff in any gun... I've gotten so I can load pretty fast w/ the stellar clips... I put the large CTC laser grips on them...
I had a 905 until I traded up for a 405 in 40S&W, I was never a big fan of 9mm and I normally carry a 40S&W it seemed natural to go with a 405, glad to have made the switch, in the snub barrel it does have more recoil than the 905, but I didn't buy it for target practice either and have other choices for that.
I've had my 905 for about 6 years, and still love it. The moon clips are fine, but you don't need them for practise when you don't have time constraints. just poke the spent shells out with a pencil or twig. I've put over 1,000 rounds through mine and it is still as tight as it was the day I got it. It's more powerful than a .38, and not as powerful as a ,357, which means plenty powerful for self defense without the stout kick. It is very comfortable to shoot, and as accurate as any other gun. The action is even smoother than my S&W Model 10. Great gun!
