    New M327 problems

Shot my new M327 today and had extraction problems. Fired cases would not come out until they cooled off. Even then they were hard to get out. I was shooting Federal AE 100 gr JSP ammo. Anyone else have this problem? I hate when a new gun is defective.

    Re: New M327 problems

I have not had the issue with my 327, but I did in my 941. There are some posts on here somewhere concerning the need to polish the cylinder bores a bit to solve the problem on other guns. I have not gotten around to doing anything with my 941, but it's the same issue and I bet it has shown-up in other revolvers as well. I am sure a good cleaning and polishing of the cylinder bores should fix the problem. Does it occur with other types of ammo, or just what you were shooting? I have not fired that particular round.

You're not the only one. I have since polished up the chambers in my M327 and only experience problems after shooting 5-6 cylinders full consecutively. A quick clean up and cool down and the issue goes away until the next 5-6 cylinders are fired. Good luck!

Thanks guys for the reply. Since I don't play a gunsmith even on TV what did you use to polish the cylinders? I hope its done with a power tool of some type since I'm lazy!

    Re: New M327 problems

I have not fired mine in anything close to rapid succession (like cooper), so I really can't vouch for what mine would do after a rapid fire session. I know the empties simply fall out of mine during casual shooting.

I am wondering if a regular bore-brush and some toothpaste would work. I read on here somewhere where someone recommended filling the internals with toothpaste and dry-firing the crap out of it to tune it up. If not a bore-brush....maybe a patch and toothpaste. I have a new 941 with the same sticky ejection issues, so I may try it out with patches and toothpaste.

Lets wait now and see how long it takes somebody to jump on here and call me an idiot.

Benn thinking about using those bore hones on a few old shotguns I have. But a large felt bullet tip buff on a Dremel with Jewelers Rouge should do it too.
