Going Price on a Taurus Raging Bull 454 Casull

I have a lead on a "Like New/No Box/No Papers" Taurus Raging Bull 454 Casull 6.5" SS revolver and am trying to find out what a "good deal" price would be for one. I know MSRP is close to $1000, and I saw some gunbroker completed auctions at $650+ so I have some idea, but I wanted to see if anyone had anything additional to add.

One odd thing is they had it listed as 6-shot. I assume it was a typo or that they wrote the 6 in reference to the barrel length.

I should know by the end of Tuesday if I'll be able to snag this.

(Just included the stock pic for all the gun porn lovers.)

    $650 is a good deal

shoots great and isn't to bad as far as kick
    the ports really help
ammo is a little pricey but what do you expect

Flyer bought one of these recently, he may pop on and give his thoughts....I think $650 for a 454 Casull is pretty durned good though. Hope it works out for you !!

Yes, I bought one. Mine was the 8" barrel though which are a little harder to find. I think I paid somewhere between $650 and $675 if I remember right.

I've only shot a few 45 colt rounds out of it and I can say that the 45 colt rounds are hardly felt with any recoil.

As far as build, they are really heavy and seem like they are built like a brick shit house. I couldn't see them falling apart anytime soon.

I had one on my wish list at Bud's for about 8 months then went into another small local gun shop to buy some Gun Scrubber. Well they just got one in and was putting it out. I paid $805.23 including the 6% sales tax out the door including a should holster rig by Blackhawk and a box of 20 Magtech 260 gr JSP. I also bought 250 FA 300 gr JSP and 250 - Hornady XTP/Mag JHP 300gr. Once I was setup to load I loaded up 10 of the FA 300 gr and headed to the range. The gun is right at my limit for recoil tolerance but shot the 20 factory rounds and my 10 which where a bit stronger but much more accurate. Gun cleaned up easy and shot great at 25 yards but though due to my ear protection didn't realize how load it was. When I left the guy at gun range asked what I was shooting as they could hear it in the gun store through the thick sound proof walls. Kind of made my day really. Now I want to try some with 2400 and 4227 as all I have now is Lil'Gun but have another 500 Starline cases coming early next week.
