    Taurus Poly Protectors, all models

I must admit, I'm very interested in this gun and may buy one.

Let's get some discussion and opinions going.

Who's got one? Do you like it? Tell us about it, etc....

I don't own one and have no interest in one. I don't think there is anything wrong with them just not for me. I like all metal in my revolvers

I'm giving thought to collecting 85's when I retire.

There aren't very many reviews out there on the poly's (especially shooting reviews), I'm hoping to get more info here, on our home turf.

I must say, I like that little "red thingie" on the front sight, it could help a pair of old eyes.

I'm not really into Tupperware wheel guns. Give me all steel all the time.

It is like almost every other gun out there....I want it! There are a few others that rank a little higher on my list, so It is hard to say if I will ever get it.

I have a 605 Poly, but have never fired it. For some reason it just don't do it for me. I'm starting to think more along the line of maybe wanting to pick up a new 444 mag or another .44 magnum model.

Love wheelguns but I don't like super, duper light ones no matter what they are made of.

I voted not interested, but am somewhat biased as I already have too many alloy revolvers (new and old).

It will take many years (actually decades) to determine if the poly revolvers stand up to daily abuse like the alloy versions have shown for decades. I'm not saying they won't stand the test of time, but they've only been available in the mass market a few years so their long-term longevity isn't documented. But on the flipside, those "plastic" Glocks have shown their reliability after being intro'd in 1983 to the Austrian forces...so there's hope!

So if you like them, get one. Don't let us alloy-diehard's viewpoints stand in your way. Maybe you'll even convert some of us in the future.

    LOL! Good post!

Right now I'm just kicking tires.

If I go back to the 85, the cold blue steel model M85B2 will "probably" be the first one. $299 at Academy, can't beat that with a stick!
