    TCP cracked slide

I tried to search this forum, but couldn't find anything on this. I don't think I can be the only one this has happened to, but I thought I'd ask. Anyway, mine was reworked by Taurus last year for FTF's, and I put at least a few hundred rounds through since then. Today the slide cracked on the left side, about 1/8" in front of the slide pin. The trigger pin is also sliding to one side.

Has anyone else had these issues? It's going back to Taurus, but I'm not sure I want to trust this thing anymore.

Keep in mind Taurus has put out tens of thousands of these little guns. Add to it that more people complain then compliment, and I don't think you have anything to worry about. I love my TCP, it goes every where with me.

Yes, I will have to agree there is merit to what you say, I guess I am jumping the gun. I do like mine so far, I did have to do the mag lip mod for better feeding reliability but that was easy enough.

Must have had a casting flaw, I have never seen a slide crack like that. (Iknow they use a powdered metal, but casting is the closest process I am familiar with)

That's the first TCP i've ever seen with a cracked slide. I'm sure Taurus will make it right, hopefully they'll replace the gun entirely. If it ran flawlessly before this happen, i would have no problems trusting another TCP.

This is a challenge and believe me, the American people are up to the challenge,...." -Glenn Beck

Heck that's nothing a little crazzzy glue can't fix. Thanks for posting a photo, I was thinking of a little hair line crack, Not cracked in half. I am pretty sure you will end up with a new gun, I am not sure how they go about doing all that I wounder if they make on with the same serial numbers then destroy that one? Either way I sure you will receive a new tcp. I am sorry to see that happen, keep us updated on how it plays out.
