    PT145 pro range report

Last saturday went to the range for the first time and had lots of problems. First the magazine disconected every other shot, i thougt it was my fault so i gave it to a friend and he had the same problem, we fired it with one hand and the same thing happened. Also i had lots of FTF, so today i send it to taurus. Hope they can take care of those problems because i love the feeling of that gun in my hand, it fits perfectly, im not giving up on that gun..

Taurus will make it right. My 840 was returned for repair and I had it back in roughly a month. Since then it's been running like a champ and I've had zero problems with it. Look forward to hearing your next range report once it's back from Miami. I've been thinking more on the MilPro series since I've never owned one and maybe acquiring a PT140 in the future.

Happy to hear that you are not giving up on it. When I first got my PT145 I ad to send it back the day after I purchased it due to a broken sear. That was about two years ago and it has flawless since.

I have one too and have had few issues. If I do have a problem, it goes back to Taurus for repair. I love the lifetime warranty!

It's a shame these issues even arise. All too often as well and the canned-excuse / suggestion muttered with a great deal of glee is, "send it back to Taurus, they will make it right - you have a Lifetime Warranty". It should NOT be necessary and until they resolve these QC issues they will deserve the bad press they get across the boards. It's not just "now and then" - it's a frequent and unnecessary happening.

Have had a PT145 Mil Pro since 8/03/11 put 400 rds thru it , problems came & went, BUT yesterday was the Buster, Put 50 rds at the range, "locked open", "Failure to feed", "dropped Mag"(only 1 out of 4). Got home to clean, removed pin, released lock, moved slide forward, pulled trigger & it would not come out of battery, forward or backward, I reached the point Called taurus, said take to dealer & have him return it, did so, he is sending it with complete letter of problems, Hope to receive fast???? service, In spite of the problems, I like the stupid gun, or is it me that is stupid?
