Reply With QuoteI have two PT1911s that had the Novak style sights (not Heinie). I ordered Novak night sights for them. They did require a little fitting, but I was able to do it myself in less than an hour (each gun). Of course one could pay a smith to install them.

Taurus 1911 AR sights and holster help
Looking for recommendations/suggestions for new sights (night sights preferred) as well as any holsters that fit the Taurus 1911 AR.

Taurus now makes a 1911 with night sights so you could just buy a new gun. I would just buy a new one, because I use any excuse.

I sold my PT1911 AR because I couldn't find a holster that would fit the HUGE RAIL on the front of it...

I personally think a rail on a 1911 is blasphemy. However, I did buy a SS PT1911 AR for my nightstand gun. It will never be seen in public.

my 1911 AR and it has novak sights and i am considering changing them . i am left handed and my shots are all over the target, the grouping mostly bigger than my hand. the gun seems to shoot to the right when shooting left handed, but on center when shooting right handed.
