Trigger return issue on Taurus PT99

I have an older Taurus PT99. On my last trip to the range, I had several instances where the trigger would not reset on its on. I had to give it a slight nudge and then it would reset. Is this an issue of a worn out trigger spring or is there another spring that controls the actual return of the trigger?

Any help would be appreciated.

You had to give the trigger a nudge because it stops short?

I'd say there may be an obstruction by the trigger spring or something, otherwise, trigger spring seems like the best bet. wouldn't hurt to check the trigger bar for an obstruction either, may be causing resistance that's hurting the trigger from going all the way forward, but that's a far stretch. I think you're right with the spring.

Correct. After firing a round, the trigger would stay back and not reset. So I would have to give it a little bump forward and then it would reset and I could fire another round.

I don't remember exactly how many times it happened. But I would say about 5 or 6 times out of about 150 rounds.
