Hey do you guys think we ought to make that thread a sticky?
Might keep someone from messing up like I did. Either here or in the MilPro forum?
Over in the mil pro forum I posted a detailed account of removing the sights and all I went through to install these sights. I must say it was rather easy although I made it harder in some steps than I needed to. Details are here

If the link doesn't work see the message titled "PT145 Sight mods and firesights install" or something close to it.
I would rather be over the hill
Than under it!

The "notch" you refer to is rather common and is used as a fail-safe to make sure your sight doesn't come off if the set screw loosens. Be careful with the screw on your MilPro, it is actually a metric...
yah I found all that out.... after the fact. Hence the reason I thought maybe we should sticky it. Keep others from making the same mistake I did. I had to learn the hard way. No sense others should.

Well its a foreign gun so it is rather reasonable to assume that the parts will be metric. I have installed many a Firesight throughout the years in a variety of pistols and all but 2-3 required some fitting but what can you expect at that price? I usually opt to file the sights themselves thus preserving the dovetails to factory specs should the owner change to another sight setup. On a few sets I have added a small dab of super glue to the fiber rod because they were a little loose in the bases so watch out for that. Glad you got them in, enjoy them.
