Check with a gunsmith in your area or do an online search of the gun+parts.
Then there is always the manufacturer.
I have a Taurus 85 wtih a spurred hammer and I know they make it with a spurless hammer. I dont want to have my hammer bobbed but can I order a spurless hammer? If so from where?

Thanks Fritz.
I did a google search for PT85+hammer and didn't find any spurless hammers available from outside sources.
The people that did cut theirs off said they would buy a new hammer if they wanted to go back to original.
I've looked casually for a bobbed hammer without success. I need to increase my search or bob my existing 85 hammer.

I have never thought of that, just to have the one I have bobbed and get a new one. I just called my local smith though and he wants $180 to do it. I almost fell over, $180 on a $200 gun. Maybe Ill try doing it myself. Thanks for the help guys, very much appreciated.
That's where I'm at, time to do it myself.
Might be a week or two before I get the time and the nerve to do it.

Absolutely! Just wanna check into a few things to make sure What is in my head is correct and a chopping I will go!..................9..1........1........
I just looked at the exploded view of the Taurus 85 and it looks pretty simple as far as the assembly goes.
If and when you bob the spur, take time to clean up the area with a fine file and stones. then sand and polish to match the rest of the trigger body. The trick is to be patient with the work.
