It sure is nice how "slickery" out of a pocket the 85 becomes when the spur is gone.
I still haven't tested mine. Soon, very soon.
just did the hammer bob on my 85UL. didn't take 20 minutes but 1 word of caution. the trigger spring center pin (37) is easy to break. I ordered 2 just in case.
Heres what it looks like:

You guys do good work! I wish I had the nerve, and the tools, to do my own. Oh well, I guess someone has to help keep the 'smiths in business![]()
got my trigger center pin from numrich and installed it today. evrything locks up and works flawlessly. also, order a set of wolff springs and will install them when I receive them. looking forward to going to the range.

I have not received the wolff spring kit but I did go to the range yesterday and ran 100 rds of various ammo thru the 85. I used blazer, remington +P, winchester and federal +P. It handled them all without a hiccup. very pleased with the way it carries now.

I installed my wolff springs today. I went with the 6.5 LB trigger spring and 9 LB hammer spring. I had to cut off one full coil on the trigger spring in order for it to work properly-it would not let the hammer drop- but the instructions advised I might have to do this so should be no problem.
Now, if this rain will quit, I will get to the range to make sure everything functions as it should.![]()
