    One reason I bought the 462 was so I could load it with 38 spl. plus have more power if needed. I load the first three cylinders with 38 spl +P. If the first three rounds don't stop the thread then I obviously need something more powerful. The next three rounds are loaded with .357 magnums. Much more power without changing guns. Just keep pulling the trigger. The 44 magnum could be used the same way without having six mortar rounds go off in your face.

    That actually sounds kind of interesting to me. Do they say if this new .44 is ported or not? Any info on price?

    Is it 6 or 5 rounds? If 5, then it's probably a Rossi version of the Tracker 44 snubby.

    Rich, I have found out that the .44 mag 2" snubby is an Academy dealer exclusive, they are now in stock at some academys at least in Houston, that is why there are no pics anywhere. I spoke to an Academy salesman this morn and he said it was bad ass, and at that price they wont last long I shall be gatting mine soon.

    Sounds good to me. I think I'll mosey on over to Academy, just to pick up a couple of things, donchano.


    I went to Academy and handled it. It is the 44mag (5 Shot) Tracker snubbie that Taurus had on the market a few years ago. Cell phone picture follows;

    I'd use the .44 Isn't That Special in a snub .44 magnum.
