38+P or 357 hollow point...Best bang for the buck

Getting a 462 for a house gun. Which is "better". I'm guessing this one has been beaten up over time. Maybe a link someone could provide. Looking for as much input as I can get. Love to read and research (drives my favorite wife nuts)
    thanks,

If my M605 .357 Magnum Taurus Revolver delivered any more "bang for the buck", I don't think this old man's heart could take it!

Well Cummins both of those will shoot through four walls of your house into your neighbors house through it and kill their dog out on the porch.

Any of these could work as well as .38 Special +P Corbon Glasers.

You'll have to shoot a number of rounds to see where point of impact is with any of these.

Yes, Magsafe and Glasers DO work. It's been documented by Masaad Ayoob in a number or articles. Some of those articles are not going to be found on the net.

The Federal Nyclad 125 standard pressure rounds have a real world track record.

Let me save you a little time and research shoe leather.

There ain't no such thing as "magic bullets".

If there were, law enforcement and military world wide would be carrying it, and all the other ammo companies not making it would be out of business.

Stick with standard pressure .38 ammo, carry what you shoot the best in your particular revolver, buy lots of it, and practice till your skill level is where you want it.

I am going to recommend Federal's 110gr Hydra-shok in .38. The Hydra-shok gives great performance, and by vitrue of the design of this round it gives near +p ballistics with regular .38 recoil. It's what my wife carries in her S&W j-frame, and she never feels undergunned. I use it in .40 as well.

I have a couple of .357 revolvers and only shoot .38 special through them. Don't even have a round of .357. I think .38 will do all I need it to. My son will shoot some .357 and I would consider it if I needed to protect myself from a bear.
