Anyone out there know for sure whether the Rossi 720 .44 Special revolver has a square, or round butt? Thanks!

Fellas, if any of you out there who owns a 720 could answer this question for me, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

The 720 certainly doesn't have what I would call a rounded butt. So I would have to say square.

I prefer a well rounded firm butt!

It looks like a square one from the pictures I've seen. There is a VERY slight rounding of the bottom of the grip. I'm looking at Gun Digest 2011, page 267,Editor's Picks, Dan Shideler.
Here's a reference.

There you go.
It is a square butt. There are or were round butt soft rubber versions made for it.

I looked for that article online, but didn't find it. Then I thought to look for the book at Amazon.com. They have it in stock, I did a search of the text of the book, and bingo! There I was able to read Mr. Shideler's comments on the Rossi 720...
Thanks again, Qwiks draw.

You're welcome.
I'd of bought a 720 some where along the line if the Taurus 441 hadn't popped up first.
Rossi knew how to make that one look like a sculpture. A work of art.![]()
