You just reminded me of something. Thank you.
There is also a reason to carry two guns instead of just one. One revolver is the primary and the other is a secondary.
Should the first gun go down for any reason or run out of ammo you've got a second gun on you.
It's a case of dropping the first gun fast and smoothly as possible and then bring the second loaded gun to bear on the problem. It's quicker than using speedloaders or speedstrips of some kind. Usually. Not written in stone.
There are holsters for carrying two snub revolvers of the same kind. Granted, in this case the guns are different so could not be carried in the same holster.
This does not mean one HAS to carry two guns. Just that it can be done and for some good reasons.

Works for me, go for it...![]()
NULLI SECUNDUS
eh... one half dosen... you know the rest... get it if you love it, not if you like it... LOVE it or forget it
The Rossi..a great stout 38 Spl.+P that has the ability to shoot 357 mag....and its a six shooter...I never owned one...but as long as you don't cycle alot of 357 mag. through it ..you'll have a great gun for along time...shooting 357 mags at the range out of a small frame snubbie is not fun and is painful...anyway...
I'm not knocking the Rossi 357 mag...by saying "a great stout 38 Spl.+P that has the ability to shoot 357 mag" thats the same way I view my Charter 357 mag Pug...I 've shot a few 357 mag out of the Charter ..its ported and weighs 21oz ....painful, loud and seemingly uncontrollable

Kind of a follow up to this post. The owner of the Rossi .357mag flaked out and just up and dissappeared after setting up the trade. Seems this is getting to be a bigger problem as time goes on.
Anyway, I did go ahead and order a Taurus M65 stainless 4" .357 Magnum and expect it to be deliverd within the next week.
Can't go wrong with a model 65.
Sorry to hear the guy flew the coop!

I would say its a reasonable trade. I have owned several Rossi revolvers, and if they are at least as good as they were before Taurus bought them, then I would consider it a fair swap....
HE thinks, therefore I am! <><
Just for the info time it seems that Gander Mountain is having a sale on Rossi 972s for a while. Check them out.
Actually quite a few Tauri are also in the sale.

Gander Mountain® > Rossi Model 972 Handgun - Firearms > Handguns > Double Action Revolvers :
That is a pretty good price for a .357Mag. Wonder if the retail locations will price match the .com side of the business?
