    Rossi 357 Magnum 3" barrel / blood

I picked up a new rossi 357 revolver about a month ago. I took it to the range and shot some 38 special through it. Shot great.

So I went to my farm over the weekend to try the 357 AMMO. I bought the Monarch 357 hp 158 grain I believe.
    Anyway wow!!!

After shooting 6 shots, on one of the shots (the 2nd round) I felt like I got burned on my left cheek. When walking back to the truck my Dad noticed blood on my face. It was just a little pin hole of some sort caused by something from the gun, powder or bullet fragments? I went ahead and shot about 50 more rounds or so with no more injuries. Any ideas what caused this?

Did you check to make sure none of the fired primers had a perforation in them? That would be my first guess, my 2nd guess would be rebound from a cylinder not lining 100%

Do you think it's safe to shoot or should I have Taurus look at it?

You need to figure that out for yourself, some how you need to. Its your life your fooling around with, if the timing is off, then send it back. Did somebody else shoot it while you were standing off to the side of it? Don't shoot it untill you figure out what is going on.

Here's a revolver checkout procedure that I found a while back.

    http://thefiringline.com/Misc/librar...ver-check.html

We get some splash back at an indoor range that I frequent as the target holders are shielded with heavy gauge steel at an angle. Also happens when we shoot steel.
