Rossi has pretty much always made a pretty decent handgun. If they had what I was looking for I would not hesitate to buy one. Now if only I had the money for a 720...
Approximately 6 years ago I purchased a Rossi 462 for a daily carry weapon. After over 3000 rounds of various .38 and .357 ammo, it continues to be my everyday carry weapon. I have not had a single breakage or malfunction. Although I own several other handguns, the Rossi remains my favorite and wouldn't trade it for all of the Rugers and S&W's east of the Mississippi!
It is better to have and not need it than to need it and not have it.

HE thinks, therefore I am! <><
So, the jist of the story is: Lifetime warranty, poverty level affordability, and prettier than a Hi-Point... I just might be sold lol

Anybody got a link to this 357 at Academy? Checked their site, and they show one Rossi 38.
md--I think you made a good decision.
Carrying it with the full 6 should be no problem like Jake said it
has the cross bar block.
It is a very good value and shooting it alot in DA should break in that pull nicely.
Good Luck and Enjoy!
Academy online has no other Rossi models. Only certain stores have certain models so it's a case of having to go to the store in your area if there is one.
As a new owner of Rossi guns, I say "You Betcha". I recently bought a pair of Rossi 68S's. ("S" means Shrouded ejector rod). I've had them to the range twice, putting about 125 rounds down range between them. These were my first times shooting a 5-shot, .38 special J-frame. I was surprised at how quickly I seemed to take to them.
I was only shooting at 10 to 15 ft and printed reasonable groups that would get a defensive job done. Mostly, I was comparing the S.A. and D.A. differences between the two guns not really thinking much about groups. Just some "Point-n-Shoot", close range familiarization with my new tools. I normally use a Weaver ( Modified Weaver?) stance when shooting my bigger guns. These two felt natural one handed. AND, this new range (for me) doesn't seem to mind double and triple taps.
Is it worth it?....Wait, are They worth it? "You Betcha".......and mine are looking nearly pristine for guns not produced since 1998.
