    Rossi Model 13 Princess

Greetings, I hope I haven't sent a bunch posts because I've been having a problem trying to put a picture on my post. I finally read the help and found out you do not see them when you do the preview. Hopefully it will work this time. Now for my questions. I have a Rossi Model 13, double action, seven shot, nickel plated, 22 LR revolver with a 3" barrel. I understand it is called the "Princess" because it was a take off of the Lady Smith. The serial number is 5603XX (the last two numbers were replaced with XX). Can anyone give me an approximate date that this pistol was made. Also, what would value would this pistol have? It does not appear to have been used very much. Any help will be appreciated.

sorry, couldn't find one on the auction boards.
    Cool looking gun though.

I don't see it listed in the Blue Book either

AFS, Thanks for the effort. The pistol has Firearms Intíl Corp., Washington, DC and made in Brazil on the side of it. I also have a booklet that was with the gun ďSafety WarningsĒ Interarms, 10 Prince Street, Alexandria, Virginia, 22313. From what I have found, Interarms imported a lot of this type of gun until the US Gun Control Act of 1968 came into affect. I was just curious if this was something that would be considered a collectible and/or what it would be worth. Apparently there are not enough of them around to determine that. I was considering trying to trade it in a couple of weeks at a gun show for something that I wanted but not having any idea of itís value, I guess Iíll just put it back in my safe until future ages reveal more information

    Re: Rossi Model 13 Princess

The Princess Rossi was cataloged in 1968 at only $38.25 complete with case. Looks like one sold on Gunbroker recently for $326.00.

Added: Trying to read the blurry print, but it looks like it says it was first made in 1957.

I think if it were me I'd hang onto it, but that's just me, I like rare and unusual things. I think it's very cool on all levels.

Miss Kitty, How is Matt doing? Sorry, I couldn't resist that. Thank you very much for the great information. The article you have was very informative. From your comment about the blurry print, Iím assuming you donít have a good copy of it, do you? Anyway, you answered a lot of the questions I had. Yes, I think Iíll keep it unless things get worse than they are now. I guess the fellow I bought it from got a good deal for a used gun that only cost $38.25 back in the 60ís as I gave him $25.00 for it a year or so ago. That is more than half of what he paid. Nice to know if the time comes, I should be able to get my money back.

    LOL Tigwelder!

I pulled that article off the internet, the paper about the gun is selling on ebay for $9.99. There doesn't seem to be much written about this particular gun. I would say you got an excellent deal!!
