    Older Rossi M971

Hello all, I was at my local gun shop tonight and saw a old Rossi M971 with a 4" bbl. It is a very clean gun and the price was right so I bought it home with me. This is my first Rossi and I think it is pre Taurus as it is imported by Interarms in VA. I have not shot it yet so it will off to the range saturday. I may carry this from time to time just to give my G-19 a rest, So does anyone out there know of any good leather holsters and if there are any speed loaders for this gun? I was thinking the frame would likely be the same size as a older Smith & Wesson, I just have to figure out wich one. Thanks Guys, Be Safe, Dave

If your wondering what will fit your 971. I know that my 461, same size gun with snubby barrel will fit anything that the 85 will fit. However, not the Fobus line, and most other Kydex holsters. The 971 is apparently between a J frame size and K frame. In leather holsters the J frame, or 85 models will work, just look for the one for 4" barrels.

My 971 fit holsters for my Smith K frames and the speed loader for a Smith K frame will work with it. I think the number on the H&K is 10, as in M10.
