9mm Load Check 124g Berry Bullets

I loaded some 124g berrys plated bullets yesterday and I'm using Accurate #7. The lee manual has the starting load a 6.2g and the never exceed load of 6.9g for copper platted bullets. However the 125g lead bullet starting load is 7.5g and never exceed 8.3g and the 124g jacketed bullet starting load is 7.2g and the never exceed is 8.0g. Does any one have any insight into this inconsistency. I would think the jacketed bullet would have higher pressure then platted bullets? Thoughts?

Lee data tends to run on the low side for charges, use lead data with plated bullets.

Why AA #7? Isn't that a little slow for a target bullet? I've been a little leery of data in the Lee manual, but in any case, always confirmed your data from more than one source. Accurate Powders have their load data online, I suggest you check it out.

They show a big difference in max loads between the Berry's 124 grain Hollow Base Flat Point (HBFP) and their 124 grain Round Nose (RN) across all of their 9mm powders.

I've found #7 to work well for me in the 9mm. I was using bulleye but that seemed to be pretty finicky, my loads weren't very consistant from a velocity and grouping point of veiw. The slightly slower powder (more grains in the case) allows for more error in reloading and still give good groups.
