Congratulations on your new firearm.
Congratulations on your new firearm.
WOW!!! I just reread my post, I should have had more coffee before posting that mess of wording jumble. But, I hope it made some kind of sense to you. This hold works well on larger framed and some medium frame pistols. My hands are too large to do it on any compact sized frames, the index finger needs to lay under the slide as to not rub the slide action.
Let me know how it feels to you. You might also notice that you tend to raise the barrel upward when you pull the trigger until you get used to the new hold.
If you have a difficult job to do....Give it to a lazy man......He will find the easy way to do it.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
I understood you just fine, thanks. I'll give it a go.
So, when you guys shoot (say with your right hand), is the fleshy part of your hand connected to your thumb on the left of the grip, or on the right? It's more comfy when it's on the right for me. However, I feel that by pushing it over to the left, (i) the recoil is in line with my entire arm (ii) I tend to grip the pistol tighter. Both work, of course. I thought the second one might be superior and I was in the process of retraining myself to do that with my PT809 when I got the PT92.
If I understand your question correct, I would be more to the left
