Nice looking family you have going there. Now go out shoot the same number of rounds through each, and then try to choose a favorite out of the bunch....LOL!!
Here are my latest additions. Top left, a PT-909, on the right, a PT-917, and at the bottom, a PT-911. I went from having none of these to having 3 in about as many weeks. So far, I have only got to shoot the 909, but was suitably impressed. The new 911 has some issues with the grip, so it will need to be fixed before it hits and range. The 917 I just got today, so I haven't even cleaned or lubed it yet.

I'll throw my 809 in there and really make it a toss up! I wouldn't have any of these without your help guiding me to Robertson's on Gunsamerica. I really appreciate it. Funny thing is, the whole time these were readily available, I was either all about revolvers or striker-fired semi's and wouldn't have looked twice if I'd walked past a dozen of 'em. Times and feelings change, don't they?
That they do, I used to be a striker fan and still have one or two to cull out. Not to long ago I couldn't understand all the hype on 1911 style pistols, and now they have grown on me both in full size and sub-compacts. However as you know the metal 900 Taurus series have really caught me in a big way. I love the SA/DA, manual safety, decocker features. The lightweigh alloy frames make them light enough to carry, yet substantial enough to maintain contol of the pistol shot after shot. Taurus fit the pistols together well, will they be problem free....I hope so, but if not there is a lifetime warranty to back it up.

Congrats and nice picks.
The 900s are a great series.
Congratulations! I like and use both Hammer Fired and Striker Fired handguns, but I am finicky about which ones of either type I will use.
Very Nice Pistol Collection!![]()

You might really like the 800's as well. I know you prefer all metal, but Taurus' polymer guns all feel more substantial to me than other makers. I don't know if it is the plastics they use or the thickness of the frames, but all my Taurus plastic feels much more stout and is less flexible than my Glocks or M&P's. The 800's weigh nearly the same or a little more than the 900's, if you can believe Taurus specs. I haven't weighed them to verify. You are also correct about the lightness of these 900's alloy frame-they seem amazingly light to me.
Thanks, all. I'm sure these will give me years of fun.
Well, I am concerned that getting the grip screws in working order on my PT 911 is going to take some time as I will either have to find a source for the grip panel bushings or send the pistol to Taurus for repair. As such, I just placed an order with Robertson's for a blued PT911. I really like the feel of that gun and suspect it would be great for a CCW. I should have it by Thursday.
