New gun for me - Taurus PT92

It's got just about everything I could want in a defense handgun: 1911-style safety and Sig-style de-cocker so it's versatile, rail for light should I choose to use one, proven reliability, frame-mounted safety which I prefer, exposed barrel design like Beretta, barrel protrusion for suppressor if I want, alloy frame for a change from the Glocks, 20-rd mags are not too hard to find for a reasonable price ($349 plus tax).

Welcome aboard from the Gunshine State. And Welcome to the world of the PT-92. Although I have other handguns, my PT-92 is my S.H.T.F. weapon. It reside bedside, wearing a Laserlyte with 17+1 Speer G.D.H.P.s.
You did fail to mention one of my favorite features. It is Condition One safe, just like a 1911.

CONGRATS!! My PT92 is nearly my all time favorite, but it is a tough choice between, the 92,99,917, and 101 or PT58.

its a good choice in a full sized weapon!
I have a 99 thats about 25 years old and still runing along just fine with just a couple of recoil spring changes and north of 10,000 rounds i am sure!
mine doesn't have the decocker or rail thoguh, an honestly I love it more for that.
