Welcome to the forum. What modifications are you looking into doing?
hi I'm brand new to the Taurus line and have a pt100b-11 on order. my question is about modifying, through searching the forums there are many things i would like to do. however i cant find links to any site that has parts and Google doesn't have anything credible with in the first 10 pages. if someone could point me in the right direction that would be very much appreciated.

Look for items for the 92/99 series, that should get you on the right path. Welcome to TA.
"I am a better American today because of Barack Obama. Hear it loud, hear it clearly. I am a better American today because of Barack Obama. I know what my country has done, both good and bad. I have a deep appreciation of what this country is and what the American people are capable of. This is not a setback. This is a challenge and believe me, the American people are up to the challenge,...." -Glenn Beck
Yeap, Welcome aboard the Board.
As Sir Montkun mentions, search for accessories for the PT-92, PT-99, and PT-101 also. These are all going to match up when it comes to most accessories such as grips, holsters, sights and such. However be aware that some holsters will be dependent as to if the pistol has a rail or not.
Look around the photo gallery for ideas as to what others have done with their pistol. Keeping in mind that everyone has their own personal taste of course. The easiest thing to do is change the grips to something more your taste. Another is to change the color of the engraved lettering on the side of your piece, there is a good article on how to do this some where here on the forum.
Absolute Best thing you can do is to spend time with the gun. Clean it, do repeated field strips and take downs. Hold it as often as you can...get a good feel for it both loaded and unloaded. Let it become an extension of your body so that it feels almost natural as your little finger sticking out there. I say almost as natural because you should never feel so at ease as to forget the importance and responsibility you hold in your hand.
Now, If I may ask, what prompted you to go with the .40s&w over the 9mm round...just curious.
Elwood717: what i'm thinking is a top to bottom. for instance trigger, hammer, safety's, springs, housing, grip, clip, bushings, even gave a compensator a thought. although now after doing a little research it seems there is possibility that the flame from discharge whilst good on range, may in typical home defense situation be harmful. by either temporary to permanent blinding even burns. please don't quote me on that since it could just be end of world type propaganda.
Montkun: i thought the very same thing i tried all the variations of Taurus, pt, 92, 99, 100, 101. yet the only results that google could muster up for me were directed to very constricting inventories. such as a holster, a pair of stock looking grips, random sights and occasionally clips. however loitering through the Taurus 1911 enhancements thread i came across a post by VTB_Gunner which indirectly referenced Pistol and Gun Accesories | EFK Fire Dragon. giving me a great jump off point but still lacking grip, clip, housing and trigger. would also desire variety to compare against.
jonrjen: i understand the holster option which i will keep in mind though i don't foresee any significant modifications that would undermine such. wow! i never would have imagined the option to change lettering color. also cant imagine what i would change it to but its going to be bouncing around in my head for a while. as for caliber decision process it can vaguely be summed up aspeer pressure. one of my brothers is a huge advocate for bigger is better so hes pushing for a 45. with the exception of ammo price i have no objections what so ever. BUT! apparently im married and such and what not or something. even though she can shoot just about anything by herself and due to relatives basically has. im in the market for a home defense gun and planning for it to be a stylish yet very realistic one. stylish due to current and foreseeable schedules have "range" time limited. leading me to conclude it will play a more decorative roll then fun toy/tool. the realistic side of it takes into account ammo price of .45 roughly $.80 to $1 a pop .40 is closer to $.30 to $.50 and 9 is between $.20 and $.30. along with in a worst case scenario, one involving solely my wife and home defense. if it would require multiple shots im not confident she can with a 45 and with a 9 it would require multiple shots. leaving the 40 as the best compromise. im sure you can also say some of it comes from my ocd love of symmetry and even things. 40 just seems to roll of my tongue nicer and 9 is a odd number.
Another good source for items like a slide, barrel and other side effects for the PT is Ebay. Yea, I know, who da thunk? But, there seems to be more and more people selling these parts on Ebay as of late and for some very reasonable prices.
FYI, in an earlier post I refered to Montkun as Sir Montkun. This was meant as a sign of respect. He always has offered good to great information in a fomat that can always be understood. Has always been a gentleman with his replies to others.
Not to mention I was always taught to respect my elders....and I figure a gentleman of his stature must be older than I.
Sir Montkun, let it here by be announced and noted, I thank you for simply being who you are, and the assistance you have shared.
