So i went to the LGS to look at AR's, and came across a used PT-22 Poly on sale for $175. Seeing as how i already bought a handgun within the last 30 days (RIA 1911 on 2/2) i put it on layaway until the beginning of next month when i'm off for a week. I mostly bought it as a handgun that my kids can shoot at the range, but it's still gonna be a fun plinker for me and possibly a pocket gun on occasion. Here's a stock picture until i get it in my hands for real pictures. So now when i go back in a bit over a week, i owe them a penny and my background check fees.

Congrats! Looking forward to another range report. The ply fits my hand so well, I keep looking but just can't justify pulling the trigger.
a.k.a. 2LOGICL. While I do not enjoy the misery of others, I do find comfort in it.
$175.00 for a used Poly PT22 seems like a very good deal to me.
Congrats!

Congrats on the li'l gun!!!
Thanks guys, i've been debating on it for a few days now. Saw it in the case on Monday, and thinking about how much fun my daughter had shooting a little Beretta of the same general size i couldn't help myself. Now i can say i have more than one Taurus finally. Lol

So i picked up my new baby bull at the LGS yesterday, which took me an hour to pay a penny (yes, 1 cent) because PennDOT's system went down. When they called to run my background check, you would swear the lady at PICS was unrolling old parchments from the 1700's to find my information. I had some other running around to do, and as such was worn out yesterday and didn't even clean it.
So today i pulled it out to clean the little tyke up and i'm glad i did. I'll preface this picture by saying that someone there had cleaned it at some point in time before i bought it, as there was oil seeping out of every possible moving part. After taking it down, which is about a 5 second task realistically, i proceeded with my usual regiment of Hoppe's #9 & Break Free CLP. It's crazy to see just how much crud came out of the gun, which makes me feel better about ALWAYS cleaning a gun first thing before a round hits the chamber.
So now that we've gotten all the crud out of the gun and magazine, it's time to show it all off a bit. I put a thin coat of dry lube inside the magazine to keep the tiny follower moving free, but other than that it feels great. What really made me laugh is that the gun is as long as the magazine for my 945, and the weight is nearly the same as that magazine being filled with 8 rounds of 185 gr .45 ACP.

Nice pocket plinker. I have the Beretta in 25ACP that was the basis for yours. Best of luck.

There was a guy at the range letting us use a Beretta .22 just like it, my daughter had the most fun then shooting the tiny handgun. That's what really lead me into it, and now that it's in my possession, i love it even more. The only bad part is that i think the trigger pull is a little too heavy for her, but my son should be able to pull it.

That's cool -- thanks for the pics. Nice price too. Let us see some target pics the next time y'all are at the range.
HE thinks, therefore I am! <><
I'm thinking probably Wednesday i'll get to hit the range. Unless i wait for the gunsmith to call about my 1911, then it might not be until Thursday. Anyway about it, i can't wait to shoot.
