Its Official!!! I Just bought my brand new Taurus PT-638 Pro SA 15 Round Magazine

I want one of those. I reload for the .380 but my PT738 isn't much fun after a box or so. I'd like a bigger .380 for a range gun.

I agree with you. For a range gun you need a bigger barrel for more precision. You also have to take in mind that most dogfights happens in short range which it doesnt matter how long or short is your gun.

I have a CHL (Concealed Handgun License) so I got the TCP738 because it's small enough to fit in my pocket. Very easy to carry. But it's not much fun to shoot.

I bought a 638 back in October. I love the gun for concealed carry. I'm having trouble finding a third mag for it. It also appears that Taurus has discontinued importing them to the US. As per Netiquette here are a couple pics of the pistol and the home made rig I use for concealed carry. It's a very sweet piece.

Nice pics! Thanks for sharing, and causing me more angst. I have absolutely no need for the 638, but dang it all if I don't want one bad. So far, the only effective deterrent, has been the inability to find any mags ANYWHERE. Good luck with that, and please keep us posted.

They sell extra mags here but they are kinda expensive(around US$ 70) and i dont know if i can send em to the states tho

When I bought my 638 pro mu LGS called
taurus direct customer service. Was told they are on order..demand was so high they ran out of first run. Second run on order and will allow backorders. If you do not have an order in for a backordered mag, you will not get one. You can get up to three at a time.
