I bought one at a great price from MC Sports about 6 weeks ago. Stainless with two 15 rnd. mags. However, had to send it for repairs due to the fact the barrel had not been crowned. At 15 yrds. rounds were 9-13 inches off from aim point.

I called Taurus in Miami, and after being on hold for about an hour (49minutes) I was able to order another mag for my 638. I think that it was about $40, and I just got it in the mail today. I took less than a week to arrive. I see that you made a IWB holster for it. Is the blach part leather, Kevlar, or what? I have done some leather work, and I have an old Baretta 70 .32cal that I would like to make such a holster for. What did you use, and how did you form it?

Just got my 638 a week ago and like it a lot. By the way, welcome to the forum. Can i ask whereabouts in Nebraska you're from? I grew up in Kearney and still get back there every few years.

The Black is Kydex. Heat it up and mold it to the gun in a press.
