Happy holidays everyone! Just got my 845SS this morning and I'm in love. Long time firearm owner and first time Taurus owner. Installed Williams Fire Sights right out of the box and ran the first box of Winchester white box JHP through her. Lined up the sights dead center with the micrometers and expected to have to make some adjustments but the groups were dead on. The accuracy and recoil are fantastic! Cleaned her up and lubricated before shooting though- lots of nasty assembly grease from the box. This is the gun I'll be using for carry and the Fobus paddle holster is a great fit. I'll take some good photos later showing the Fire Sights and the Fobus holster fitment. Those 50 rounds were cheap Wal-Mart ammo and all the horror stories about FTF and FTE had me worried. No issues whatsoever, so knock on wood, this one's a winner. The mag springs were tight but by the second fill they were loosened up and I see I will not be needing the speed loader. Anyway, long winded post over but I felt the need to share my great experience so far!

Bought it at Academy 12/28/11, 400 rounds down range with about 3 failure to feed; broke down, cleaned and no other issues other than the slide will not lock open on the last round every now and then. I like the look and feel and we'll see how it goes after the 700 round mark. The sights suck.

The one I have is for M&P pistols, it fits my 24/7's very nicely but is just a little short on the 809

just bought an 840 yesterday. I did the takedown and cleaned all the factory goop out before I fired it. 150 rounds today with no shooting issues. Their is a issue with the mags; They are hard to eject unless I push up on the bottom. I don't think that is right since my 609 and 111 don't have that issue. any feed back ?

My 809 mags were a lil tight the first handful of releases. It seems to get better with use...

Shot my 840 yesterday. Used the cheapest ammo I could find (Tulammo) with no problems. Went through all 100 rds just fine. No problems with the magazines except with the springs being tight so can't get 15 rds in them yet.
