    Taurus PT809c Pics

As promised. (And the reason for a seperate post? Maybe if we flood this forum with posts, the mods will see fit to give the 8xx pistols their own forum.)

First up is the pistol and accessories just as it comes from Taurus:

    Next is the pistol:

Now the 809c with the 17 round extended magazine:

And, finally, the 809c in relation to the PT845:

Forgot to mention that while at my LGS I also found a used Bianchi IWB holster. It is the model 100 and, although the markings are worn, it appears to be size 11. This makes sense as the size 11 fits, among other things, the Cougar 8000 series. Very close in size to the 809c.
Fit is a bit tight so right now I'm reforming the holster.

First, soak it inside and out with silicon spray. Next, put the gun in a ziplock freezer bag and force it into the holster. Let it dry as long as necessary.
This method worked well (and was recommended by the manufacturer) when I bought a too-snug holster for my Ruger LCP so we'll see if it works again.

    Gladly!

First pic is a Mexican standoff. And something I just noticed: Apparently in an effort to keep size down, the 809c has no beavertail. The hammer housing (?) is sloped like a Beretta PX4.

A more useful comparison. 809c extended slide is a bit longer than the 845, but not by much.

And a pic I should have thought of yesterday. Notice the 809c hammer is also smaller.

And another with the extended mag.

Great score with the 809c!! The slide serrations are also different and the 809C seems to have more of a textured magazine release button.
