PT 945 with and without accessory rail?

I have been looking at this pistol for some time, websites, dealers, and different forums. Some are pictured with an accessory rail. Is this an addition added to Taurus later production runs? Any info on this would be appreciated. I do not want this rail.
Thanks JRK[Any body our there know if Taurus still imports this pistol WITHOUT the rail. I talked to a Customer Service Rep. today, and he did not have the foggiest idea of what I was talking about. That was after being on HOLD for about 10 minutes.

I have no idea, but would love to have a rail on mine. It is an awesome weapon.

I don't have much opinion on a rail on them or on the 24/7.
I have a couple of 24/7 c that I don't mind the rails, although i have no use for them at all as to function.
now i feel quite differently about certain weapons having rails as i think it totally takes away from the look of the weapon, such as 1911, or hi power brownings for example.
I believe all taurus weapons with a rail has an "R" in the model number.
