    PT 92 Prices

Has anyone noticed any good deals on PT 92's (new/used)? I was sniffing around the web yesterday at work and came across a site, http://www.southernohiogun.com that has new 92's for $380. Also they have used Walther P99's for $399.

BassPro has the PT92 Blue for $479, Stainless for $499, and the PT99 Blue for $499. These prices have stayed the same for better than six months up here. Used PT92/99 are running $350 - $425 blue. Haven't seen any used stainless versions up here. Some of the Michigan local gun sites have had FTF sales for slightly less. Pawn shops up here are running bout $50 more than that. (???)

    Re: PT 92 Prices

380 would be nice, can't find any guns for sell on their site though just ammo and accessories.

i paid 380 for my stainless NIB near the end of 2007

since then the price has went up on them i think the cheapest i seen recently was 430-440 for the stainless.. dont see many black models for sell.

i would'nt mind having another pt92 but 440 is getting to close to beretta price which is 500 on sale, or 550 usual price.

there is no way on earth i would pay 500 for a taurus over a beretta.
dont get me wrong i love my taurus but i dont feel the fit and finish is as good as the beretta to be competing so closely in price.

    Re: PT 92 Prices

Prices must be real good on things down there. I haven't seen a Beretta 92(M9) up here for less than $650. That was on sale for the demo model. NIB are running $700+ if you can find them. Used are running from$495 - $695 in average condition. I know I have seen them on places like Ozark guns for in the mid $500's, but every time I take a serious look at them they are sold out.

    Re: PT 92 Prices

Oh I forgot just type in PT92 in the search bar at the top to the page sixpack as this goes for any gun. I typed in 9mm and noticed they had anything from tauri to glock. They even have Hi-Power clones (Arcus) for like 299 and for anyone who is into the makarov pistols they have a variety from 250 w/holsters&accessories to 149ish w/o holsters.

My local pawnshops have everything marked up on the guns by $75 or more. Hard to find good deals right now but if you keep an eye out you'll find some eventually.
The following link shows the Tauri and various ammos, S&W's and other pistol types (under the keyword 9mm). I found it easy to just type in a brand name or caliber to find the pistol/rifle that I was wanting to look at.

    Re: PT 92 Prices

    ah i see it now..

looks like they want 400 for the stainless and 390 for the black now though.. so their prices must have went up since you last checked.

im also in ohio but all they have listed as an address is a P.O box..

does'nt look like i can go buy direct.. i think they'ed have to send it to a FFL..

which would bring the price up to say 420/410 (figuring about 20 for a transfer)
shipping would be a wild card.. could be 12 bucks or 30 depending on how they ship it.

would bring the price up to say 432-450/422-440..
which is roughly what you can get it for anyway.

bad part im in ohio so i'd also have to pay tax, 400/390 @ 7% (actual tax is like 6.75 or something) = 28/27.3 (well just round down and call it 27)

    total est: stainless 460-478 / black 449-467

i'd also have to pay tax if i bought from a dealer but on the larger amount of 430-440 (stainless)

    stainless:
    gunshop total 460-470
    vs
    website total 460-478

prices are'nt bad really but they dont have a store from, if they at least had a way of scheduling a pickup time they might be more attractive..

the shipping + transfer is the real killer for me.

buying a used one locally is'nt really an option because so many people prefer to sell for new OR above new prices on sites like gunlistings.org, because people who want to avoid the paperwork for what ever reason will pay the exaggerated prices for used guns.

    Re: PT 92 Prices

Maybe so but for me it is a better deal considering I paid over 500 with tax and fees when I first bought my 92. I figured my costs at about $45 shipping/fees when it all comes down. I failed to shop around the first time. It is a major pain for anyone to find that good used price since everyone has the idea that their gun is the "cats ass" and that a beat up PT92 from the 80's is worth 350-400 beans.

    Re: PT 92 Prices

I personally wouldn't buy from a website like that. I tried a dealer off the beaten path and it ended up they were selling guns they didn't have in stock, and would just ship when they did get in stock.....but you paid up front. I called and cancelled my order as soon as I found out, but it was still a hassle. Also, gunshops really cannot compete with online dealers like Bud's Gun Shop. Bud's has:

    PT92 Blue - $419
    PT92 Stainless - $409
    PT99 Blue - $443

Those are all new BTW. Check them out!

Ah, Buds prices have gone down since I last was on! I bought my 101P off of Buds and the dealings were smoother than Wild Turkey so I'll definitely be buying from them again. Just as soon as I can save up some dough for a 809 or 845

    Re: PT 92 Prices

I just paid $500 at a gun show for a package that included the stainless w/ 4 mags, a laser for the rail and a soft gun case. I don't figure I did too bad.
