Are Mags & Grips for the PT917, interchangeable with the PT92??

I'm considering the purchase of a model PT917..In the pic's I've seen of a 917, the grips look to be interchangeable with the grips on my PT92...Additionally, I've seen mags for a model PT92 marked for the 92/99/917, and was wondering if they too are interchangeable...If so, that would be great if I didn't have to purchase more mags and grips...Feedback from any forum member in regards to this topic would be greatly appreciated..many thanks from the bluegrassstate..

I am holding a Taurus factory magazine that came with my PT92 AFS. The left side of the magazine tube reads, "PT92/99/917 CAL. 9mm - MADE IN BRAZIL". That tells me the answer to your question - yes, magazines for a PT92 are interchangeable with the PT917. As for the grips, I am not 100% sure, but if I were a betting man (and I am) I would say that the grips are also interchangeable between the two models.

Yes. 100% fully interchangeable.
You can even use Beretta grips, but they have to be modified slightly.

The 917 has the 92 frame. It's only the slide, barrel, etc. of the upper that's different. Everything for the lower/frame is the same.

Which I wish was the case with the 909, cause then I'd buy a 909 and roll with the PT 91/917 hi-cap 19 round cap mags!
The 909 lower looks identical to the 92/917 lower, but Taurus swears they're different...
Oh well, I'll keep dreaming...
