Mine is a 1987 model 99 and I would guesstimate its in the 10-12,000 round count?
only a couple recoil springs have been changed out so far.

Looks like a shade over 7 weeks. Still no update on the Rossi which went in about a week and a half later. I told them to return ship both at once so maybe I'll get a surprise.

Update...went to the range to pick it up and it's only the PT 92...the Rossi is still on the operating table.

    Sheet says:

    Firing Assembly NPF
    Extractor Spring Replaced Existing
    Barrel Link Pin Replaced Existing
    Firing Pin Replaced Existing
    Firing Pin Spring Replaced Existing
    Barrel Replaced Existing

So what the heck is "NPF" and what caused it to lock up tight? They report 35 rounds of Winchester 9mm 115 grain FMJ through for a test.

I ran 70 rounds of 124 grain plated RN through it and had one light strike. With the quantity, I'll write that off to a bad primer..but need to get out and test it some more.

Any visible signs of what went awry?

No...I was looking for hammer marks to indicate how they got that sucker open, but it looks like new. Had to have something to do with the barrel, or maybe they destroyed the original getting it apart?
