PT92/99 .22 Conversion

Hello all,

I just recently pulled the plug on a used PT99 on Auction Arms. It was either this or a Glock and for some reason I just like the look of the PT99 more than the blocky glock. I was hoping I'd be able to get a .22 conversion for the gun and I know Ciener makes one. After reading the posts, I didn't see a review on the quality from anyone here. I found an old review from '04, but I'd like to know something more recent. Also, I've heard that the Ciener customer service stinks.

One of the earlier posts also mentions a Taurus brand conversion, but other than that post I've found no mention of it on the web.

If someone wants to sell me a .22 conversion kit for this gun I'd be very interested.

hmm not sure, i know taurus had one but it's been discontinued far as i know.

i like the idea of a .22 92 but i'd rather see one matched at the factory rather then a conversion kit, and if taurus got serious about it and found a way to stuff 20-30+ rounds in a mag that would be awesome..

sorry i can't help you on the ciener but if im not mistaken the also make a kit for the beretta and i've heard it's not quite as nice as the factory beretta kit but still pretty decent.

I have seen one on www.22lrconversions.com but haven't seen them in life, so I can't comment on the quality.

Thanks tubaman, that's Ciener's site which I was already aware of. I wouldn't mind trying one out if I knew I was actually going to get a product. Some of the customer service horror stories are really making me wary though.
