I finally broke down and bought a 5.56 battle rifle.

I've been shopping, compairing, and handling all the offerings out there for two years and found the one that fits, and works best for me being a lefty. I finally broke down and bought a 5.56 battle rifle.-sdc10711.jpg A Bushmaster ACR. Fully ambidextrous INCLUDING the charging handle. (which doesn't reciprocate!) It breaks down into only four major groups, and is multi caliber. (I have a 6.8 barrel and bolt on the way as I type this) The optics I chose to go with were an EoTech holo with the "flip to the side" 3x magnifyer. I also put a Grip Pod vertical foregrip on it. I finally broke down and bought a 5.56 battle rifle.-sdc10716.jpg I finally broke down and bought a 5.56 battle rifle.-sdc10717.jpg There is NO recoil whatsoever, and is ridiculously accurate. I'll post a more in depth review on it later.

Do you also have the 5.56 barrel too? As thats what you said in your post.

Yep, I'd like to have something in the AR platform. Maybe an Olympic 7.62 X 39mm. One problem, funds. I do have a Ruger #1B Standard in 30.06 I would like to trade. Maybe I'll find the right gun shop that will do it.

    So I like it.

But I'm guessing that your wallet's taken a hell of a whoopin'. Why didn't you just build yourself a Stag AR for $650? The ACR probably cost you more than 3x that much but likely does not give you any measurable advantage.

Because I didn't want an AR platform like everybody else, because the ACR runs dry, you don't need to keep it lubed like an AR, because like I said in the original post I handled everything and liked it better, and finally, I wasn't looking for any type of "advantage". Hope that covered all the bases. =)
