The only foregrip I've seen that has an integrated light is from Surefire. You're going to pay as much or more for one of those as you did for the gun itself.

Yeah. I saw that foregrip a while back and assumed that would be the case. It seems like I saw a different one at some point that basically just had a round "cup" in the front end to receive any standard size light housing (1"?). I can't remember what it was and I don't have any idea if it was any good. I'll have to keep looking I guess. I haven't really figured out how to hold a light in one hand and still operate the shotgun confidently. Maybe I'll have to do a search on shooting techniques and forget about getting a different foregrip.
Q: Why do you carry a gun?
A: It’s much lighter than carrying a police officer

That was my thinking too on the O-rings, i never shot it with the plug in, so i have no idea if it ever made a sound. One thing i've been thinking about picking up for mine is a bolt on tube rail to possibly mount a flashlight on. It's a functional and economical solution for me because my 500 can't take extensions, and it's less work than swapping out the fore end that i'm used to gripping.

That sounds like something I may be interested in too. It doesn't have to be perfect. I just don't want to drop the shotgun while I'm fumbling with a light. I'll try to do some checking around and see what I can come up with. If you find a good one, let me know.

Magpul makes a forend for a Remington 870 that is like the ones they make for ARs. You can attach rails, foregrips, etc. SHOTGUN ACCESSORIES - MOE® Forend – Remington 870 Shotgun

That looks like a good option and I like the price. Thanks for the link.

I've not used one on a shotgun but I do have that type on my AR. That forend for the 870 looks very practical.
