    AR Bayonet Mount Bipod

I've seen these bipods, to be mounted on the bayonet lug, on some AR rifles. Do any of you guys have any experience with, or use these? They don't look all that secure to me. But then again, I've only seen pictures, not the real McCoy.

Always wanted to get one when I was still 11B, but never got around to it. As for use, it seems like it should work. Don't mount the bipod until you get into a firing position, and you should be okay -- especially with the mild recoil of the 5.56 round. I actually use shooting sticks w/ my muzzleloader and they work great. Perhaps that could be an option as well.

I think they are all right but they make folding bipods to fit anywhere on the rifle. With the standard fore grips they can mount in the vent hole, or you can use the picatinny rail for the tacticool folks. I only recommend a bipod for an AR if you have one with a barrel 20 inches and over otherwise you should think about a fore grip.

I have a bipod built into my foregrip - i push a button and the legs pop out and the foregrip turns into a bipod.
