Have a shipment of high standard m4's comming into
My local range this week. Amazing price. Just looking for
Some feedback. I don't know anything about this company

High Standard is a fairly old company, probably more known for the semi-auto .22 pistols they made from the late 40's thru the early 70's or so. Those were great products. I think I recall hearing they had some manufacturing in the Houston area now, but I don't know for sure. They may have gone the way of Charles Daily and import guns and put their names on them.

Until I hear otherwise, I would expect them to still be a quality firearm.

I think Chicorones will have some good input on the company.

What is their starting price point on an M-4?

According to their manufacture website the
Msrp is over a grand. Little does thAt tell one.

They're out of Texas and bought the original companies name.

Check out CDNN, Bud's Gun Shop and Gallery of Guns on line and you'll find a number of AR makers that sell way under a grand ($700-$800).

I wish I knew more about them other than their classic target pistols. I don't live far from them, but I've never taken the time to check them out.

I'll see if I can't fire one on Tuesday. The offer they have at the range is cheap. Cheaper then buds. Gallery is always on the higher side I found

From what I have seen on another forum (rimfirecentral), they had some quality issues at first in Texas but they have turned things around.

From what I gather, they make some pretty good stuff. They also make Inter Arms Ak style rifles that are a notch above the WASRs.
