I have the 2 stock metal mags that came with my rifles. I also have 2 P-mags, and will probably get a few more eventually.
Since I order from Midway every few weeks or so, I was wondering about some of the others that they offer.
Anyone here ever try the "Termold" or the "Tapco" magazines? They seem to be substantially cheaper.
Magpul PMAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nuff said.
Ok, since I know you are going to be using your Slide Fire stock, I'll add that last time I took my buddy shooting, I let him shoot my Slide Fire all he wanted as long as he used his ammo...every one of his Thermold mags had feed issues - not one of my PMAGS did.

I just ordered a 10 pack of pmags this afternoon. I ordered them from jsgunparts.com, and the price was $139.02 shipped to my door.

One thing that's nice about the pmags is the little dust cover/impact protectors that they come with. My understanding is that some polymer mag's can have the lips sprung if they're left fully loaded, and the pmag covers are supposed to eliminate that problem. Probably cause they push the top round down a bit and take the tension off the mag lips. Dunno, but that's what I heard. JAT

PMAG's and USGI metal mags with magpul upgrades are the way to go, everything else is just cannon fodder. The price point of pmags is in line with everything else available so why settle for less?
Brought home 15 magpul upgraded usgi mags and 12 pmags in windowed and non windowed format, free for me. Next time I order something I'll throw another half dozen pmags on top, along with some anti-tilt followers to fix up some old usgi mags I have.
Did I say PMAG's!!!

I have a bunch of different mags and in my gun they have all worked fine. For loaded storage I prefer the Magpul PMAG. It has a covert that snaps on the top of the magazine taking the pressure off the feed lips, which will keep them from being deformed.
For most of my range work I use Cammenga ez-mags, EM3-556: 30 Round Easy Mag the front half can be unlocked and opened to facilitate rapid loading without the aid of a loading device. I have lots of rounds through them and they still work like new and man are they easy to load!
If you want more metal mags I would go with AR Stoner, great metal mags. I would have to agree with the other posts, the Pmags are great. I ordered a Tapco mag about a month ago I haven't been able to go try it out because of the weather.
