i bought the scope from WW. its a 3x9 variable power with cross-hair reticle. its fully adjustable for windage and elevation, and its fog proof and shock resistant. its a daisy, but it looks like its made by winchester http://www.daisy.com/shopping/customer/product.php?productid=16283&cat=252&page=1 they say its for break-barrel air rifles and "other" firearms. out the door it was 30.39 not to bad. the optics are cystal clear, and the mounting seems to be solid. hopefully the scope ( and my shoulder ) will hold up to the recoil of the "plinkster" it will have its first range trip this weekend! anyone ever use this scope? any comments good or bad.
if you pull the bolt all the way back and push the charging handle in it will hold the bolt open...i guess they felt the need to put an arrow on it to show that it can be pushed in? now if i didnt read the book, i guess one could not realize that that can be pushed in...in fact i read a review were someone said the bolt does not have a way to be held open.....guess they didnt read the book. or maybe they have changed it to now hold the bolt open?

I got one on my break down pellet rifle. Used the 9x to shoot a metal 12" dog pan at 75 yrds. Hung the pan in a tree in the blueberry patch. talk about scaring the crap outta the birds when that pellet hit the pan lol
I have a 40+ year old Marlin 60, which has exactly the same marking on the charging handle. This rifle is obviously a clone of said Marlin. It was my first rifle, a gift from my Dad. It's fired thousands of .22 LRs, and never skipped a beat. Sent many squirrels and an occasional groundhog to their doom!
We just bought my GF a Marlin 795 a few days ago- the Plinkster and the 795 are almost identicle. Wonder if the mags will interchange?
If that Mossberg is anywhere near as accurate and durable as either Marlin, you got a bargain there! :thumb:
Brazilian/CBC made Clone of said Marlin, imported by Mossberg, as I understand it. These have come into the USA under other importers and CBC also makes the "Maverick" Shotguns in the Mossberg line.
I've been developing a need for an economical .22 rifle for a truck gun. Your forthcoming range report will certainly be appreciated.
