The Bud's video says twice that they are from Turkey. And I found this.
I was perusing the BudsGunShop website and I ran into an ad for this,(ASI PUMP ACTION PASIMAX 12GA )
it piqued my interest because of the price and features. I assumed they are made in Turkey, but can't find any info on the net. here is the listing
anyone seen or heard of ASI? or these shotguns?
That looks identical to some other offerings I have seen showing up on the market. Most can be traced back to being an import from Turkey.
I picked up a Tristar Raptor back around Christmas last year at Academy that is gas operated semi auto for around $249 plus taxes.
Not saying for sure that they are the same, but take a look:
Raptor ATAC Home Defense Shotgun
Seems to be a pretty decent value.
Why is it, that everything in your life that you wish you could forget, Everyone else remembers in detail?
I have been seeing many Turkish imports at Academy and they work and sell fast. No complaints from the salesman. I say give it a try! I know they sell for a great price.

Turkey's gun makers are ISO 9001 rated a produce some beautifully well made guns for the price point.
Beretta owns, Benelli, Franchi & Stoeger and a lot of their models are made there; also included is CZ and others big brands.
I own a number of Turkish shotguns, including such monikers as Tri-Star, Yildez & Hatsan, all of which have been 100% reliable and accounted for a lot upland game over the last 4 or 5 years.
I ordered the "Pasimax," and it arrived today. No chance to shoot it yet, but I have looked it over carefully. The fit and finish of the gun is good, the slide is smooth, no gritty/catchy feeling, the trigger pull is short and crisp.
Welcome to the forum Bodkinpoint!
I like that one better than the Stevens just because it has the rail built in and a removable rear sight. Which is well worth the extra $30 IMO.
