These are the five Colt revolvers currently in my safe that are chambered in 32 Police Ctg, 32 New Police Ctg, or 32 Colt New Police Ctg. Colt went a long way to keep from labeling their products with S&W cartridge names. All five of these are chambered for 32 S&W Long and of course 32 S&W. The five date from1906 to 1955, three are Police Positives on the 32 frame, one is a Police Positive on the 38 frame w/5" barrel and the upper left gun is a Police Positive Special w/4" barrel. The three PP guns are 4" and 6".

The gun and the story are beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

I have a 4th .32 S&W Long on the way, I tend to gravitate toward the inexpensive well used and neglected ones. To me they are all shooters, not collector items. When it comes in I will post a picture of all 4 of them.

I have a Spanish-made Ruby from the first World War, chambered in .32 ACP.

My grand-uncle picked it up off of an Italian officer that he dropped during the second World War. It has French military acceptance marks on it. Pretty much all of the finish is gone, save for under the grips, but that's exactly how it was when I received it, and that's how it was when my grand-uncle picked it up. There's a little bit of blood pitting on the slide, but it isn't deep. The magazine was extremely gritty and dirty when I got the pistol. Unlike the pistol, it was nickeled, but the nickel is relatively worn. It's clear that it wasn't fired after that war.

The good news is, it's still safe to shoot! It's not bad, either, after being cleaned up. It has wear from a war, which is pretty interesting. The grips are almost completely smooth. In summary, I love it. My grandfather passed it onto me just a scant few months before he passed away.

Actually I find these days the ammo for my .32 is more reasonable than 9mm, .22lr, 40S&W, and .45acp.

    Here are my .32's:

.327 Mag New Ruger BlackHawk, S&W .32 Long Hand Ejector, .32 S&W Long Colt Police Positive Special, .32 S&W Long H&R Model 732 Side-Kick. With the exception of the Ruger they are all inexpensive rescues I made.

Camera is on it's last leg this is the best I could do for a picture:
